# New Features

### Vault Gauges

Canonical Vaults receive a fixed rate of emissions over the year, initially spread across the four starting vaults: the MetaVault (USD stablecoins), BTC, ETH, and LINK. Stakers will be able to redistribute these emissions through a gauge system. 

yAxis gauges are inspired by [curve.fi](https://curve.fi/). Token stakers are able to apply a weighted vote for a higher portion of the available emissions to go to a specific vault. By locking staked tokens for a period of time, stakers are able to increase their voting power. The weighted aspect means an underrepresented vault will be able to catch up more quickly.
